One of the first jobs I had back in high school was something like what I am doing write now on Klat. I got to write about hotels and get paid for it. I became addicted to online work as it allowed for a lot of flexibility that really fitted my personality. Lately, I have been really looking at becoming an internet entrepreneur as I know from my experience doing various jobs online how awesome it can be and at the same time from a business standpoint it can have less overheads and in some cases no expenses at all.

One of the things I suggest would be to start small and see if you can actually make some money from it. Also, read about successful internet entrepreneurs that could range from the likes of Jimmy Wales of Wikipedia and Craig Newmark of Craigslist to Jason Kilar of Hulu and Ramit Sethi who has a blog, iwillteachyoutoberich.com, which has over 300,000 readers every month.

Speaking about blogs, I would strongly suggest creating a blog and this was the first thing I did when I was looking at online ventures. The main reason why I would start a blog in addition to the fact that it costs nothing is the fact that allows you to really delve into your interests and also share these passions with a larger audience. Good things that can happen are connecting with people who share similar passions and also you would be having fun while making money. I have realized that there really is no such thing called hard work as you only do your best when your having fun.
So as you go about expanding your online business, look at affiliate marketing. Sign up as an affiliate on Amazon, EBay and Commission Junction and promote products and services that you’d like to sell. Use the free internet resources out there like a Facebook page or free website to share your affiliate links. Lots of Web hosting companies have special offers and promotions like Intuit where I recently signed up for a free website.
The web is great because of the chance to actually own a business and be overhead free. For instance, you could start your own web development business. Don’t think that it would be too hard or time-consuming. Just look at the founder of 14clicks.com, Nicholas Tart, who says that if you use Microsoft Word, then you pretty much have the foundation to build a website.
